YOU MAD, NESS? HUEHUEHUEHUEHUE

Budj responds:

HUAHUAHUAH!

This is a wonderful tribute to Robin Sachs and while Zaeed wasn't really in my list of favorite characters from the series this just made me like him alot more. The 5th Element inspiration is very welcome even if it is more or less the same scene with a few changes here and there.

My only criticism I have (and I will try to keep it spoiler free) is there is one part that stands out for having nothing happen for a little bit too long .. I know its in the scene its based on too but 4 seconds felt like quite a long time considering Zaeed isn't really doing anything. Aside from that though, this is amazing.

This is really cool to watch. Its delightfully full of cheese. Seriously I've watched this several times. It starts slow but that can be forgiven for the beautiful animation that follows.

My only criticism aside from the slow start would be that the nes music and the animation are so different they almost don't feel right for each other. But that's just my opinion. Either way. This is awesome.

AaLBERT responds:

A Big thank you for you comment!!! I'm glad you like it the animation style!! =D

Your description of spiders is amazing. Its worthy of plagiarism.

PRAISE THE SUUUuuuuun! This was pretty awesome, I've actually been playing Dark Souls a fair deal lately myself so that always helps with understanding the jokes although at times the gags felt a little over-written like the bonfire monologue a minute in but Solaire makes this completely forgivable.

Solaire makes everything forgivable.

He is like a magnificent father I ... no I won't spoil it that was good.

I really enjoyed that - it was a bit predictable but it still made me laugh! The jump using sprites for two shots felt a bit unnecessary compared to the rest of the artwork but at least the central gag didn't overstay its welcome, you knew when to finish it! Awesome stuff!

This is incredible. Your incredible.

My only criticism is that its too short! Other than that it gave me a good lol!

I'm not sure why I love this as much as I do. I love the simplicity of this. It was great! Megatron's bazooka effect was a little poor (though his pose was great) the shot composition got a little muddled and there were too many open mouths in the lip sync but the voice work was fantastic and overall gave me a good laugh! I didn't notice half of these things the first time I watched it.

I really, really enjoyed this! I'm not one for sprite animations honestly, but half way through this that didn't seem to matter anymore, in fact it just added to its charm. Sure you could have frame by framed it but a short based in the Paper Mario world is one of a few examples I can think of where sprite animation, when done right, can actually suit it better than fbf.

And this done it right.

A couple of times the sprites were enlarged so much it was a little bit hard to make out what exactly was happening but the voice work and writing was good enough to make that not seem like a problem at all! A lot of work clearly went into this and it obviously paid off with the Daily 1st so well done!

Eastbeast responds:

Thanks Connor! Yea I agree those certain shots can be a bit jarring, since the paper mario sprites are so condensed with pixels lol Hopefully when I start doing drawn animation I can void that problem all together! XD

Your testing and advice was very much appreciated on this piece, see you in the Superlab!

Professionally unprofessional!
